Tri Delta Alumnae Chapter of Montgomery celebrated its annual Pansy Brunch on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the lovely home of Susan Samuel, the chapter president. Arrangements of pansies, the sorority’s flower, decorated two beautiful tables for the seated brunch. The delicious menu included sausage and egg casserole, asparagus and cherry tomatoes with lemon dressing, fresh fruit, chocolate chip muffins and mini-apple streusel. Orange juice, champagne, and coffee accompanied the delightful meal. Members attending were Mary Lou Brown, Sue Sistrunk, Beverly Broach, Carol Thomas, Emily Dauber and her daughter, Margaret, Gibbs Davis, Mary Ann Beggs, Marti Rice, Lucie Lee Lanoux, Trish McLaney and Leah Meacham.
Fifty- year members were honored with the Golden Circle Degree and received a pin to recognize the special occasion. This year’s recipients were Leah Larson Meacham (Brenau) and Lucie Lee Maynard Lanoux (Ole Miss). Fond memories of college days were shared among the Tri Delta sisters, as well as the latest news about our philanthropies and active Tri Delta collegians at the University of Alabama, Auburn University and Samford University.
Generous donations of gift cards and cash were brought to support Camp Smile-a-Mile, a summer program at Children’s Harbor at Lake Martin, for children recovering from cancer.
Tri Delta alumnae who wish to connect with this group are encouraged to email Susan Samuel at email@example.com.
