PIKE ROAD – Pike Road defeated Rehobeth in straight sets in the Pike Road gym, 25-16, 25-15 and 25-11, to win its 5A sub-regional match on Saturday and advance to the South Super Regional for the first time in school history.

Pike Road (11-15) will face Satsuma, which defeated Shelby County in four sets, in the Super Regional quarterfinals on Thursday at Garrett Coliseum at 11:30 a.m. A win will put the Patriots in the semifinals, which carries an automatic berth in the state tournament.

For the Patriots, Kirsten Stroud had nine kills, Kendall Rice, Karmen Wilson and Allie Lovrich had seven kills each, Madison Hines had 12 digs, Sadie Davis had 15 digs, Christine Shelton had 20 assists and Ryleigh Fureigh had 14 assists.
