Prattville Christian Academy's varsity volleyball team participated in Auburn High School's Party on the Plains Tournament Saturday. The Panthers went undefeated in pool play beating Beat Brew Tech (25-22, 25-22), Shaw High School, GA (25-18, 25-16), and Smith Station (25-19, 25-13). The Panthers had a tough loss to Harris County High School, GA (13-25, 21-25) in the quarterfinals of the gold bracket.
For the tournament stats: Lennon McAnnally had 21 kills, 8 aces, 2 blocks, and 15 digs. Victoria Wheeler had 14 kills, 8 aces, 5 blocks, and 2 digs. Jamie Johnson had 11 kills, 32 assists, 1 ace, and 5 digs. Juliana Lawrence had 7 kills, 37 assists, 5 aces, and 6 digs. Jacey Haynes had 4 kills and 4 blocks. Hannah Jones had 16 kills and 9 blocks. Emily Kamykowski had 5 assists, 29 digs, and 2 aces. Sydney Jorgensen had 11 digs and 3 aces.
"I'm really proud of what these ladies accomplished this weekend. Going undefeated in pool play was huge, especially beating all 3 teams in just 2 sets each. We had a couple of great come from behind victories, and it showed our character,” PCA coach Kaylon Cantrell said.
