Saint James 27, Alabama Christian 0

After having their first two scheduled games cancelled by weather, the Trojan junior varsity finally opened their season with a 27-0 shutout of Alabama Christian on Monday night.

Tabor Offord launched a 65-yard touchdown pass to Jake Huff on the first play of the game.

Pruitt Conner scored on touchdown runs of 4 and 19 yards.

Cole Anderson added a touchdown on a 44-yard breakaway.

Wynston Redden converted 3 of 4 extra points.

Saint James (1-0) travels to Trinity next week for a junior varsity game following the middle school game.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Saint James 32, Alabama Christian 6

The middle school Trojans remain undefeated after winning their second game of the season on Monday night.

Just like the previous week, the Trojans scored on the first play of the game as J.B. Braswell rushed for a 53-yard touchdown. He added a 3-yard touchdown run after a blocked punt.

Luke Catchings ran an interception back 83 yards for a touchdown and Grant Phillips scored another defensive touchdown on a 9-yard fumble return.

After failing on all three conversion attempts last week, Saint James went 4 for 4 this game as Braswell converted 3 two-point runs and Chase Perry added another.

Alabama Christian added a fourth quarter touchdown to avert the shutout.

Saint James travels to Trinity next week with a middle school game starting at 5 p.m.
