With less than ten days to go until undefeated heavyweights Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury get into the ring, ESPN and FOX are set to air several content shows breaking down and previewing the bout.
The unusual circumstances are a result of the fighter’s contractual agreements with the competing networks. As a result, both ESPN and FOX Sports are putting together shows that will be shown on not just their namesake stations, but broadcast on local FOX and ABC affiliates all the way to streaming on both the ESPN and FOX Sports apps.
Both networks have already shown Inside Wilder vs. Fury II. The series features both fighters in training camp preparing for the fight. Two episodes have debuted so far and two more are planned to be aired beginning with Part 3 on Thursday February 13th. That’s followed by Wilder vs. Fury II: The Roundtable on Friday February 14th.
The week of the fight, fight fans will be able to watch the always entertaining press conference on Wednesday February 19th live from the MGM Grand on both FS1 and ESPN2 at 4:30 PM ET. The Weigh-In will be shown at 6 PM ET on Friday February 21st at 6 PM ET.
Fight day will have programming all day long. It starts at 1 PM ET with the Wilder-Fury II Pre-Show on ABC. Then coverage of the preliminary fights begins at 5 PM ET on the ESPN and FOX Sports apps. That will move to ESPN and FS1 simultaneously at 8 PM ET before the start of the pay-per-view broadcast 9 PM ET.
After the fight, the post show will air on ESPN2 and FS1.
