Trinity 76, Prattville Christian 44

PRATTVILLE – Trinity cruised to an easy victory over Prattville Christian in the Panthers’ gym on Friday in the season opener for both teams.

Jacob Comer led the Panthers (0-1) with 17 points, four rebounds and three assists. Tillman Makupson added 11 points and nine rebounds, Carson Roberson had six points, Stillman Davis had four points and eight rebounds and Coleman Hunter had four points and six rebounds.

In the junior varsity game, Cohen Palmore had eight points and four steals for PCA in a 54-21 loss to Trinity. In the junior varsity girls’ game, Sarah Williams had 11 points and five rebounds as PCA (1-1) fell to Trinity 27-17.

Catholic 64, Zion Chapel 48

JACK -- Justin Bufford scored 28 points and Johntarius Green added 22 as Catholic cruised past Zion Chapel on Thursday night. The Knights (2-0) return to action on Nov. 25 in the Karen-Keller Tournament.

Catholic 90, Samson 35

SAMSON – Catholic opened the season with an easy win over Samson on Tuesday night as Justin Bufford and Johntarius Green each scored 22 points to lead the Knights. Green also dished out 10 assists while Bufford had 14 rebounds.


Trinity 53, Loachapoka 23

LOACHAPOKA -- Mary Alice Sasser and Emma Kate Smith each scored 18 points to lead the Wildcats to an easy win on Friday night. Mary Davis Bricken added eight points and Maddie Smith had eight points, five rebounds and five steals.

Trinity 58, BTW Magnet 10

Trinity opened the 2019-20 season with an easy win over BTW Magnet as Emma Kate Smith had 13 points, seven assists and six steals on Thursday night.

Brooke Avant added 11 points and seven rebounds, Mary Alice Sasser had eight points and four steals and Maddie Smith had eight points, five steals, four assists and four rebounds. Mary Davis Bricken and Rebecca Herndon each added seven points and seven rebounds, while Kaylee Peevy had four points and four rebounds and Lily Windham brought great energy off the bench.

Catholic 52, Zion Chapel 23

JACK – Nona Johnson had 12 points and 11 rebounds as Catholic opened the 2019-20 season with a win at Zion Chapel on Thursday night.

Lorren Pharrams added 11 points, seven rebounds and five steals, Chloe Walden had nine points, five steals and six assists and Alanna Aiken had nine points, eight rebounds, four steals and four assists.

The Knights (1-0) will be back in action at the Lions Club Thanksgiving Tournament in Tallassee on Nov. 25.
