St. James 55, Loachapoka 48

Bradley Thomas scored 19 points to lead the Trojans past Loachapoka on Saturday afternoon.

Andrew Sadie added 14 points and Alex Roundtree had 12 as St. James (8-8) rallied from an eight-point deficit at halftime.

The Trojans return to action on Tuesday with an area game at Pike Road.

Montgomery Academy 73, BTW Magnet 70 (OT)

The Eagles missed a shot at the end of regulation that could have ended it, but outscored BTW 16-13 in overtime on Saturday afternoon as Oliver Bear and Britton Kohn combined for all 16 points in overtime.

Bear led all scorers with 25 points, including three second-half 3-pointers. Bear also added six rebounds and four assists. William Norrell chipped in 18 points, six rebounds and six steals while Kohn had 14 points and eight assists. Thomas Kirkham was big on defense, collecting 11 rebounds and taking four charges.

Montgomery Academy (14-7) returns to action on Tuesday with an Area 5 game at Bullock County.

Brew Tech 68, Catholic 64 (OT)

Justin Bufford had 31 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and six blocked shots, but it wasn’t enough as the Rams edged Catholic in overtime, snapping the Knights’ nine-game winning streak.

DJ Carter added 15 points for Catholic, along with 10 rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots. Johntarius Green followed with 10 points while TJ Dudley had nine rebounds and three blocked shots along with one point.

Catholic (20-3) will face Robert E. Lee on Monday at 6 p.m.

Prattville Christian 55, Westminster-Oak Mountain 52

PRATTVILLE -- Tillman Makupson led the Panthers with 23 points, 15 rebounds and five assists as PCA (8-15) held off Westminster on Saturday afternoon.

Carson Roberson added 18 points, followed by Camron Coleman with seven points and six assists. Stillman Davis grabbed 10 rebounds and Coleman Hunter grabbed seven.

In the junior varsity game, Cole Houston had 16 points for the Panthers, which fell to Westminster 38-28. Benjamin Allen added five points for PCA (0-11), followed by Cooper Osborne with four points and four rebounds. Cohen Palmore added five steals and four rebounds. Bryce Masters grabbed seven rebounds and Andrew Ouellet grabbed six.


Montgomery Academy 59, BTW Magnet 12

Madi Caddell scored 15 points to lead Montgomery Academy past BTW Magnet on Saturday.

Millie Stevenson added 13 points and five rebounds, followed by Virginia Meacham with 12 points and Leighton Robertson with nine points and six assists.

Montgomery Academy (17-4) travels to Union Springs to play Bullock County in an Area 5 game on Tuesday.

Prattville Christian 57, Westminster-Oak Mountain 27

PRATTVILLE -- Ella Jane Connell led the Lady Panthers with 15 points and eight assists as PCA won its 17th consecutive game on Saturday.

Avery Rogers added 13 points, CoCo Thomas had 12 points and 10 rebounds, Jacey Haynes scored 10 points and pulled down seven rebounds, Hannah Jones had four points and eight rebounds and Tori DeMaio grabbed six rebounds as PCA improved to 22-1.

Loachapoka 38, St. James 34

KK Hall hit six 3-pointers and finished with 18 points but it wasn’t enough as Loachapoka edged the Trojans 38-34 on Saturday.

Seanna Brooks added a pair of 3-pointers, finishing with nine points, and Hannah Grace Griggs had a pair of 3-pointers to help the Trojans to an 18-9 halftime lead before Loachapoka rallied in the second half with 29 points.

St. James (11-8) travels to Pike Road on Tuesday for a 3A Area 5 game.
