GIRLS

MA 52, Bullock County 18

Montgomery Academy romped over area foe Bullock County 52-18 to improve to 15-2 overall and 2-0 in the area. Leighton Robertson led the Eagles with 16 points and 8 steals; Madi Caddell had 10 points and Millie Stevenson chipped in 8 points.

ACA 53, LAMP 31

Alabama Christian easily defeated LAMP 53-31 to improve to 11-7 on the year and 1-1 in the Area. Josie Barlow led the Eagles with 13 points and 3 assists. Michaelyn Manning had 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. Lindsey Glass tallied 10 points.

Trinity 41, Prattville Christian 34

Trinity outlasted PCA 41-34. Trinity was led in scoring by Emma Kate Smith with 15 points and 7 assists. Mackenzie Avant had 9 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. Mary Davis Bricken also had 9 points. PCA was led in scoring by Kaitlyn Reyes with 12 points and Ella Jane Connell had 9 points. The Wildcats improve to 11-6 on the year. PCA falls to 14-7 on the season.

BOYS

LAMP 85, Marbury 72

LAMP defeated Marbury 85-72. Micah Boone led LAMP with 33 points, shooting 7 of 8 from 3 point range and 8 of 8 from the free throw line. Boone also had 7 rebounds and 3 assists. LAMP's Quinn Sloane added 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists, Eric Russell added 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Mitchell Sloane added 11 points. Zamari Brown led Marbury with 32 points, and Jakheil Waller added 13. LAMP improves to 11-8 and has now won 9 in a row.

Evangel Christian 72, Springwood  31

Dexter Holt scored a game-high 15 points to lead the Lions to a 72-31 win over Springwood. Evangel scored 44 points in the second half. Cordarius Martin added 11 points and Solomon Ayeni chipped in 10 points. The Lions are now 16-3.

Bullock County 68, MA 48

Bullock County took advantage of poor shooting by Montgomery Academy and handed the Eagles a 68-48 first area loss. Trey Lindsey had 23 points for MA with 18 points coming in the second half. Ollie Bear had 3 points and William Norrell had 5 points. MA had their 4 game win streak snapped and falls to 7-10 overall.

Evangel Christian 48, Autauga Academy 38

Evangel Christian whipped Autauga 48-38 and was led by Tyree Curry with 14 points and 5 steals. Jordan Grice finished with 13 points and 14 rebounds and Aaron Todd added 6 points and 4 rebounds. The Lions are now 15-3.

PCA 60, Trinity 19

Cooper Meadows led Prattville Christian to an authoritative victory over Trinity with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Ben Segars added 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Tillman Makupson added 11 points. Jacob Comer scored 8 points and BJ Comer had 7 points. Michael McCarty scored 5 points. PCA improved to 18-3 on the season.

LAMP 66, ACA 49

LAMP defeated ACA 66-49 in a local Class 4A area game. Mitchell Sloane led LAMP with 17 points, Micah Boone had 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, Quinn Sloane had 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists, Andrew Weisenfeld had 11 points, and Eric Russell had 8 rebounds. LAMP improved to 10-8 and 2-0 in the area, and have now won 8 in a row. For ACA, Jalen Clark had 16 points, Reece Solar and Caden Perry both scored a dozen points.
