U.S. Air Force Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Edward C. Davis graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

   Davis completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

   Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

   Davis is the son of Edna Davis of Montgomery, Alabama. He is the brother of Tanya and Karen Davis and Paytie Howard of Montgomery.

   The airman is a 1997 graduate of George Washington Carver Senior High School, Montgomery. He earned a doctor of philosophy degree in 2012 from Walden University, Saint Paul, Minnesota.
