The State of Alabama Certified Fire Alarm Act requires that every business who installs fire alarm systems in commercial occupancies must be licensed as a Certified Fire Alarm Contractor. The contractor must have a NICET Level III Technician in a position of responsibility, and the license will be issued in the name of the certificate holder and the contractor. The Certified Fire Alarm Act also requires that technicians working for the Certified Contractor must hold a current NICET Level II, or equivalent, certification. The fire alarm specifications shall require contractors wishing to bid on fire alarm work to show evidence at the pre-bid conference that he/she meets the certification requirements of the Act and holds a permit issued by the State Fire Marshal. A PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held at the offices of JMR+H Architecture, PC, 445 Dexter Avenue, Suite 5050, Montgomery, Alabama  36104 on August 15, 2019 at 2:00 PM (local time prevailing) for the purpose of reviewing the project and answering Bidder’s questions.  Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference is highly recommended for all General Contract (Prime) Bidders intending to submit a Proposal.  

A cashier’s check or bid bond in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder’s proposal and must secure the bid for at least 60 days.    In this cause it is made to appear to the Court, by the affidavit of the Plaintiff, that Latresa Antoinette Jackson, defendant(s) are either nonresidents of the State of Alabama, whose residence is unknown and cannot be ascertained after reasonable effort, or if being resident, either their residence is unknown and cannot be ascertained after reasonable effort or they have been absent for the State more than thirty days since the filing of the complaint in this cause, or they have concealed themselves so that process cannot be served upon them, and further, that defendant(s) are over the age of nineteen years. 

    It is therefore, ordered by the Court that publication be made in a newspaper published in the City of Montgomery, County of Montgomery and State of Alabama, for four consecutive weeks, and the said defendant(s) are hereby notified of the issuance of said summons and complaint, and to be and appear if they think proper to defend this suit at the present term of this Court, and within thirty days after this notice by publication is completed.
