You might not have heard of it, but you’re sure to in the future. Mindy Newell’s Kick Back Ranch is located south of Montgomery near Ramer on Union Academy Road Ada. Newell’s idea for the sprawling, country property is simple and straight forward. “Our property offfers a rustic and peaceful country setting for all your social and business gatherings,” Newell says. “It is an excellent venue for weddings, birthdays, graduations, family reunions or corporate events.”
But that’s not all. Numerous cabins and cottages on the ranch are available to rent. The ranch staff is always available to help with any questions or concerns guests may have. “If you are coming from 200 miles away or just up the road, make Kick Back Ranch your next vacation destination,” Newell says. There is also space for permanent residents, aged 55 and over, which is gated, quiet, and with access to all facilities and amenities. Over 100 acres of rolling land is gated, which gives security and the views of the ranch ponds and walking trails are spectacular. Plus, there’s a full functioning RV site for both permanent and temporary residents.
As for the cabins, they are one bedroom, cozy cabins that come with brand new appliances and are only a short distance away from the ponds. Cottages, on the other hand, have their own unique features and charm. They feature a full or queen bed, futon, private bath and kitchen. They can accommodate one to four guests. Event venues include the Auditorium, Dining Hall, Social Deck, Outdoor Pavilion, and The Hitching Post.
One way many people discovered Kick Back Ranch was during the recent Frontier Day Craft Fair and Marketplace. Vendors from around the state brought their wares for sale, and shoppers got a feel for what the ranch is all about by browsing the vendors located among the various cabins and suites. Others toured the property by tractor-pulled wagon or were shown the grounds by golf cart.
“All in all, Kick Back Ranch and Event Center was created with family in mind. With the rush of our fast-paced lives, we wanted to offer families and friends an opportunity to Kick Back and Relax,” says Newell.” For those who love the water, they can enjoy a relaxing day by the pool swimming, or take a run down the water slide. And don’t forget to bring your fishing pole! The best way to learn about Kick Back Ranch is to visit there, and see it for yourself.
